Product Description

Ladybugs are among the most loved and utilized of the beneficial insects. Best of all, both the adults and larvae feed on ahids (their prey of choice), plus corn borer, cabbage looper, spidermites, thrips, scale, and many other small soft bodied plant pests. Ladybugs are an excellent organic pest control for your roses, shrubs, trees, and flowers.

The adult ladybug lays about 1500 eggs in her lifetime. The eggs hatch in one week. These babies are commonly known as ladybug gators because they are always hungry and they also resemble the shape of an alligator. These tiny larvae will eat about 400 insects while it is in the larvae stage, which lasts about three weeks.

Keep your ladybugs cool until ready to release. Release in the cool part of the evening, and water plants first. The ladybugs can be sprinkled around your garden, or simply open the bag and let them emerge on their own. When working with trees, tack the open bag high on the trunk and the ladybugs will work their way up the tree.
