NATURAL GAS CONVERSION KIT
Nothing like being forced to buy something I did not need. The only option for converting my new Kenmore grill from propane to natural gas was to buy the associated natural gas conversion kit. The kit costs about $70. The problem, the kit includes an expensive hose and fittings that I did not need as I already had the same hose on my older grill. All I needed was the brass fittings to make the changeover to NG. Additionally, for reasons known to no one, the orifice for the rear searing burner is NOT included in the conversion kit but is supposedly included with the grill itself. Why would Sears include this one part for conversion but not any of the others. Forcing me to buy something I did not need makes me hesitate before buying Sears appliances in the future. When I questioned Sears about the hose, their answer is that the kit comes from the manufacturer (Kenmore) that way. Really? Isn't Kenmore Sear's own label?
