Kenmore  Evo Handheld Vacuum and Canister Accessory - Silver

Good suction, good function ability, but lacks practicality.

First of all they should tell you that it does not come with any attachments!!!!!!!!!!!

I like it as a powerful hand vacuum that doesn't run out of battery power. But the first time I fired it up I was surprised by how noisy it was. I also thought the nozzle was small where it sucks in the dirt.

great second vac for quick jobs. A little noisy but it works great.

This little vacuum is awesome!! i have a large victorian house, and a cat, and it cleans everything!! i have mostly hardwood floors with area rugs, so this is perfect, and the suction is just as good as the canister. It needs to be emptied often, and the filter cleaned often, but it's an amazing cleaner!! this thing really sucks!

This is the best invention from any vacuum manufacturer yet. No other portable vacuum comes close to the versatility of this marvelous appliance. I must have a very clean house, since using this machine on my entire home, 1800+ sq. feet, I never had to empty the canister one time, as per another review saying it wasn't accommadating more than ten minutes of use. I also have a long hair cat.

I would certainly recommend this appliance to anyone who owns a Sears canister vacuum, and can use this together with the attachments of that machine, or without, as a small powerful handheld.

Good work Sears. Also, my home is completely furnished with Kenmore Elite appliances which I have had for more than five years, and have not had any problems whatsoever.

I have had a Progressive canister vacuum for quite a few years now. When I saw this little thing, I was pretty impressed. I wanted something for doing a quick pick up in my entry and kitchen. I have 2 cats and a dog - and a hubby who loves woodworking in his garage. Then of course it's spring and all kinds of sand gets tracked in as well. Between the animal hair, sand and sawdust, it has picked it all up with little effort. This handheld is exactly what I was looking for and it does a very nice job. It isn't meant to be a deep clean machine, but for those times when you need something quick. All the attachments from my Progressive canister attach flawlessly. It does get a little heavy, but I attribute that to being a higher quality vac. I have no regrets as of yet, but I have only had it a few days. If there is a problem, I will repost...

I bought the Evo for cleaning small rooms - and while it's great for that, it's soooo loud! And it does get heavy after a while. It says you should empty it after each use, but I find that it needs emptied more often, about every 10 minutes (my place is not too dirty, as it gets cleaned all the time, it's a B&B). It seems like it gets louder when it needs emptied. It's easy to disassemble to clean, but you have to pick the lint/hair and gunk off the filter part and whack it repeatedly against the side of the trash to get it clean, therefore stirring up the dirt you just vacuumed up. I do this in an outside trash can, but it's still annoying. The suction is not as good with the bare floor attachment as the regular vacuum too. Overall, I would still recommend the Evo, especially if you have small areas with both carpet and bare floor, but get some ear plugs too!

I will admit, I thought long and hard before spending $80 on this item. HOWEVER, this product is amazing KUDOS Kenmore!! I have a cat, and along with that is litter tracking, cat hair etc. Dragging the big canister vacuum out daily can be a pain! With this hand vacuum you can attach the wands and use the floor tool to clean tile and wood floors effortlessly. Attach the power nozzle and vacuum carpeting, with out havign to drag out the big vacuum every time! Also it leaves carpeting clean unlike most hand/lighweight vacuums that just grind the dirt deeper into the carpet. This actually sucks it up! You can use the power mate jr to vacuum furniture. Seriously this little "gadget" has so many uses and works so well, you will not be dissapointed. If you own a Kenmore Canister Vacuum Cleaner, buy this item. Buying a new Kenmore Canister ? Add this to your purchase!
