    The salesperson at Sears recommended this unit and I paid $250.00. After 6 months of usage, it stopped working.

    I had to return my first dehumidifier because the sealed refrigeration system failed and it was replaced with a new one. The replaced unit (the same model) has now failed. It runs continually but it does not take any moisture out of the air (no water is expelled). This sealed unit apparently has also failed. I am 50 miles from the nearest service center and have to drive 200 miles for servicing (2 round trips of 100 miles, drop off and PU). I am very unhappy with this unit. I purchased a Sears 130 pint dehumidifier in 1971 and it still runs just great. I sure wish I could get another one of those.
