As others have reported, it takes 17 minutes for the oven to pre-heat to 350 degrees. Also, the oven vent fan comes on immediately when the oven is turned on, blowing a steady stream of cold air into the room. I cannot recommend this range.

Looks nice just make sure follow the instructions for cleaning the ceramic glass top.

Sears had to replace cook top after 3 months due to scratched cooktop. Now 9 months later the cooktop has a spot that sticks to the pan when cooking. It appears to be a white spot where the paint has chipped off. We have dealt with Sears for 25+ years to find out they cannot help us with this defective range.

We've had this range for 14months now so plenty of time to get a feel for it. Some things that bother us: 1. the front control board looks as though it has a stainless steel cover plate, but its actually just painted plastic - the whole front control panel feels a bit flimsy & the stainless steel paint can easily get scratched off as we discovered. 2. The oven takes a long time to preheat! (If you're thinking of baking a pizza, its way faster to order delivery) 3. at 14months to the day, 1 of the top elements stopped working. No the quality Id expect from an appliance of this price! At $75 just for an inspection + parts & labor additional, its a huge disappointment. There's many other range options I would rather have considered. Otherwise if you choose this, I would recommend going with a protection plane.

Purchased this stove at sears about a year and a half ago. I do like it you can adjust the size of the top burners, its great!......................But wait...now after cooking, i have to clean up! Every time i use the stove top, even with my brand new pots and pans, there will be black burn marks all over the ceramic top of the stove. I thought this would go away after i cleaned my pots and pans. Nope! til this day after every use i have to get my stove top cleaner (expensive) and really scrub the top. I had a model similar to this before but it wasn't half as bad with the clean up after cooking, i only replaced it because the paint was chipping and it had rust along the metal edges. Maybe i was better off just painting the older one, but i gave it to a neighbor.

We find this range to be just an okay product. We do like the turbo boil function and the extended sides of the cooktop, which covers up the gaps between the range and the counter top. The digital oven control is pretty nice too. However, there are features and functionality flaws that we are not quite fond of. First, the placement of the cooktops is not a very good design, with both the large ones in front. It makes it difficult for the rangehood to capture the smoke from cooking, which means the smell/greasy air will linger around the house. Second, the oven takes forever to preheat even just at 350F. When you're done, the internal oven fan will run forever to try to cool it down and there's seems no way for you to turn it off. Also, the stainless steel looks good from afar, but when you use it up close, you can tell they are really thin metal pieces and make you feel the build is cheap. Lastly, the warm function occupied the storage unit below, so it's now your choice to either use it as storage or a warming unit.

The only negative thing that I could say is that the clock should be blue and not green LED. Bought 4 appliances and all are blue except for this. I know it sounds petty but it looks a bit funny. Luckly you can turn off this display. Only had it a week but so far it is excellent. Bought this type without the standard back controls and am very glad that I did. Looks very professional and not like a standard stove. Easy to install.

We were looking for a slide in with stainless side panels, at least on one side which was exposed. Even contacted the on line chat to make sure the produce would fit what we were looking for. We were told the model came with stainless side panels and we wouldn't even have to add a panel kit. Well it arrived and as slide ins comes, no sides. Worse yet we are a week into trying to follow up whether we can order a side panel kit without a definitive answer. Customer service call was over an hour as customer service tried their best to navigate throught the web sites and manuals to find a side panel kit. Appears side panels come in all colors except ours, although Sears now going back to the manufacturer to see if a stainless option exists. If the side panels aren't available we'll need to return both the stove and the coordinating microwave rangehood and start our search over.

I love the way the range looks in the kitchen. I like the smooth cook top. Knob and control buttons are easy to use. I especially love the warmer drawer and the extra large burner option. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
