    Easy! August 23, 2010

    I work for kmart.com and needed storage solutions for the bathroom in my new apartment. I purchased this and the Jaclyn Smith tower and found them both easy to assemble (even by myself) and attractive. A second person would have made the hinge installation easier and I found my cordless screwdriver to be invaluable.

    Both items were packaged well and there was no damage from shipping.

    Quality not good enough for the price August 28, 2010

    I would of given this product a better review except for two pretty major problems we had with it. Needless to say that getting all these parts packed back up into the box would of been impossible so we kept the unit. Major problem #1: One of the screw holes on the side rail was not drilled correctly causing the side rail to split. I used wood glue and clamps to repair it. Major problem #2: one of the glass doors was drilled so bad that it hung 1/4 of an inch below the other door. I used toothpicks to fill the old holes and then drill no ones. It didn't make it perfect but looks better. Minor problem #1: Other glass door slightly warped on bottom. Not too noticeable but for the price? Minor problem #2: The leg support on the bottom could not be put on because it would put pressure against the water line. That could cause a leak so didn't install the support. I do not normally write reviews but for the price this product falls far short. I even got 30% off and I still do not believe it was worth the price with such terrible construction

    Laminate Peeling on Legs

    A few years back I purchased a Martha Stewart tower and wall cabinet from Kmart. The quality on those pieces was excellent. The quality of this etagere is good for the price but not as high quality as the Martha set. Assembly took 2 hours working alone with a cordless drill.

    The details of the piece are very nice such as the turned legs, plastic "crystal" knobs, crown molding on top,  and real glass doors. What is not so nice is the laminate on the legs is peeling/coming away from the wood on the edges. Luckily it is on the back where it is not noticeable. However, I'm concerned that more laminate may separate when placed in a steamy bathroom.
