heavy duty bookshelf
I got this bookshelf because it matches my futon and coffee table. It's easy to put together and is pretty heavy duty. If you put it together well it is surprisingly heavy and is a very strong shelf. It looks great too!

Nightmare in a box
After reading all the other reviews I'm wondering if I got a defective box. The screws were too short, the glue wouldn't set, pieces of flake board fell off exposing several dowels. A huge piece of junk that we finally assembled using a whole bottle of gorilla glue. I'm afraid to actually put stuff on it at this point.

Nightmare in a box
After reading all the other reviews I'm wondering if I got a defective box. The screws were too short, the glue wouldn't set, pieces of flake board fell off exposing several dowels. A huge piece of junk that we finally assembled using a whole bottle of gorilla glue. I'm afraid to actually put stuff on it at this point.

Great product for the money.
Easy to assemble. All pieces arrived in good condition, nothing scratched or missing. Instructions very easy to follow and diagrams were easy to understand. I assembled this myself without any problem. Looks great, and very functional.
I would recommend this product to a friend.

Looks nicer than it is....not a bad thing!
I put this together by myself (I'm a grandma with a BAD knee) in short order. If you've ever put together assembly furniture with cam locks, you'll won't struggle with this piece. It took me only about 20 minutes. It did come with a huge scratch on the cardboard backing, but I colored it with magic marker and it doesn't show at all inside the bookcase with items on the shelves. Same thing with several large scratches on the outside bottom of one side; they don't really show either after coloring them with a wood marker and magic marker. No one will notice except me. I do think the piece is a little overpriced when you consider it's pressed wood, but I got it on sale and in the end, it looks really nice put together. I don't think it's meant for ultra-heavy stuff, but for knick knacks and decorative items, it's fine. It does come with a wall brace if you are inclined to attach it.
I would recommend this product to a friend.
