Hotpoint  30'' 1.5 cu. ft. Microwave Oven

Purchased in 2009 and hardly used it and now is not working.

I would not recommend this microwave.  It arrive damaged on the top left side corner near the front both times.  The carton was not damaged so it was packaged damaged.  Luckily the warehouse didn't have any on order and the salesperson offered a more expensive Kenmore at the same price.

Bought this hotpoint from Sears and installed it and within five minutes the thing had completely shut down.  I have to take it out and reinstall another one.  We went with a hotpoint because the one we had previously was great for 12 long and heavy used years before conking out.  Although this particular purchase was a dud, I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on this one and hope that it was just pure dumb luck to get this dud.

I got it for $89 on sale and its definitely worth that...Its lasted us over a year now and hasn't given us any cause for complain.

Its easy to clean and easy to use.

I really enjoy this microwave. It is so easy my 5 year old can use a chair and use it with ease. This microwave is very powerful and I find that I use the recommended settings on the back of microwave food boxes and not only do I not burn the food, it is cooked throughly and feeds me well.

I have had this microwave for a year and have really enjoyed it.  I am a gourmet cook, I cook every evening, and I utilize this microwave daily.  It cooks accurately, and it is fast.  I love the metallic finish, because it looks like stainless, is less expensive and does does show fingerprints like stainless.  The interior is large enough for anything I have wanted to microwave.  It has great features and I use them all.  When you want to reheat food, but not recook it, it has many choices under the reheat button.  The price is great for all of the features.  It also has the vent for over the oven, and a surface light.  I could not ask for anything more in a microwave.

This microwave worked pretty well while it lasted which was just under two years.  We replaced it with an LG and the Hotpoint has it beat on a few key features. The Hotpoint has a 30 second button which you can push you can push and it starts automatically going for as many 30 second increments as you would like with just one touch - no such option on the LG.  Also, the exhaust fan on the Hotpoint is amazing - turn it on high and it sucks up all steam and odors from the stove in a matter of seconds - not so much with the LG.  I am wondering now why I didn't just repair it instead of replacing it.
