Cleanest my carpets have been in years!
We researched before deciding on this vacuum and its high rating for pet hair pick-up was the deciding factor. It does even better than we anticipated. At half the price of our last vacuum it is by far a better cleaner. I also like the bags. The bagless ended up being a mess every time it needed emptying, but this one is so much cleaner. Stair tool works great, too! We are very happy with this upright!

Good-Not Perfect
<span>I am looking for the perfect vacuum....still looking; this isn't it but will keep this model until it dies. I have mixed floors- carpet and tile and wood. It is hard to find one machine that can do all things. This vacuum cleans carpets great. It went together real easy-no problems there. It takes awhile to figure out what carpet height number works for your floors...but through trial and error you'll get it. It takes quite a bit of muscle power to push/ pull this machine around- this could be a good thing, or a bad thing.....I wouldn't recommend this to an older person. It does an okay job on bare floors- a different attachment might work, as the unit itself is just too big. The long hose is great and the attachments are better than most. Love that the motorized brush can be turned off. You actually NEED to turn it off more often that you'd think (back to that trial and error thing). To answer back to another review- you do not need to unwind the cord by hand, loop after loop...the top clip is made to turn down, releasing the cord all at once, then you uncoil it and plug it in. Also there is a small clip on the top that is labeled 'cord clip'- put the cord in there so you don't end up stepping on the cord while vacuuming. The instruction manuel should mention those things, but it doesn't. While I like how this cleans the carpet- with a lot of effort......its not enough for me to recommend it to a friend. I think there MUST be something better out there. I got this on sale for $149.97....I wouldnt have kept it if it were more. I think the machine is made well. There are going to be some issues, but this might be the best there is for now. I would have given it 3 1/2 stars if I could have. Good luck in your search for the perfect vacuum.</span>

Did not last long
We purchased this vacuum two years ago and need to replace it already. Not long after purchasing it, the height adjustment feature became defective, and now there is very little suction power. I cleaned it thoroughly thinking perhaps it was clogged, but it isn't clogged at all. Only the detachable hose has suction now...pretty disappointing.

A good vacuum at a good price
The hose (for tool use) extends nicely, but the telescoping wand isn't very long. It's fine for me, but people with high ceilings may not be happy. Also, I can't fit it under my furniture or bed to clean, or even my kitchen cupboards (I have a smaller vac for that). That being said, it definitely has good suction and seems to do a good job, and it's lighter and quieter (I should say less noisy) than my last vacuum. The price was excellent, and it was delivered at no extra charge the next day - can't beat that. I've only had it a few days, but overall I'm happy with it.

I bought this vacuum because, 1. it gets rave reviews; 2. it's a Hoover; 3. it uses a bag. This unit is way more powerful than you would expect from a > $200 vacuum cleaner. The suction is amazing. The filtration is awesome. The hose length is longer than most people without stairs probably require. The cord is like 30 feet. Really, it has K***y power with a way cheaper price tag. I'd highly recommend this vacuum. My only advice would be to shop around, because Sears wanted $209.99. On their website big W store wanted $138.99. I told Sears and they price matched with no problems.

Operates easily, haven't change bag yet but appears to be easy. Not light weight but not heavy. Handles like a light weight. Reseached consumer report, read many customers reviews, bad and good before purchasing. Would give 5 if it was lightweight.

I am very happy with my new WindTunnel! I like have a bagged vacuum again. My floors and carpets ar cleaner than they have been in a long time! The suction power is awesome. The first time I used it on linoleum I had to back off from the 'bare floor' setting as the suction was so strong the vacuum wouldn't move LOL. I would recommend it to anyone!
