Hoover  SteamVac Carpet Cleaner - Black

I couldn't believe how much dirt the cleaner picked up. At first I was skeptical, because I only owned Bissell cleaners in the past, but this machine worked great. The carpet looks terrific. My only complaint is I wished the tanks were larger. I had to make several trips per room, but other than that it work quite well. I would recommend you picking up extra cleaning solution 4 it because once you start you will want to clean the whole house. : )

It deep cleans and is lighter than I thought

I have had mine for over six months and it does a great job! I have two big dogs and it picks up the dirt great. I use it about once a month and no issues. Love the tools for stairs and furniture.

My husband purchased this carpet cleaner for me and it has been a godsend! We live in a fully carpeted townhouse and renting a commercial cleaner was so inconvenient that our floors didn't get cleaned as often as we would have liked. Now we have our own cleaner on hand so we can clean any time we like. With a young child and cats in our home, it has proved very useful. The Hoover is easy to use and is effective. This is a great cleaner for the price. It cleans deeply without soaking the carpets, and the floor is dry in just a few hours because it vacuums up so much of the water. It gets heavy to carry up and down stairs, but when you are cleaning it is easy to maneuver. My only complaint is you that you have to lean the handle back to remove the dirty water tank, which I do by propping the handle against the wall. I wish that the tank slid out to the front like the cleaning water tank. I highly recommend this if you are looking for an effective and affordable cleaner. It's a great alternative to spending time and money renting a commercial cleaner.

Great knowing my carpet is sanitized

This carpet cleaner worked WONDERS on my carpet. Would recommend this product! I started to get the one for $89.99 but this one is worth every bit of $159.99. The only problem I had is the 2 long screws that hold the hose clip were stripped so I could not get it to stay on but duck tape did the trick!

I have always owned a carpet cleaner since buying my first home. I have tried other carpet cleaners other than the Hoover. I haven't been as satisfied with them, but used them until they no longer worked. The Hoover has a longer life span than the other cleaners I have used. They suction is strong and stays strong throughout the life of the machine. I would recommend and have recommended the Hoover to others. This is a good product and I will keep buying them as long as I have carpet to clean

We just purchased this and used it for the first time 2/1/12.  We are both impressed with it's ease of use, and results.  We have an apartment and the rugs haven't been cleaned for 3 years.  They look brand new.  For the price we couldn't have asked for more.  I didn't give it 5 stars only because it's a little heavier than I would have liked.  My husband says it has to be this heavy for the brushes to push down into the carpet.

but a hoover steam vac less than 2yrs old hardly used started throwing sparks and you could smell electrical burning.not worth the money you pay for them they just dont last that long i have owned 3 in my life and never had one last more than 3 yrs and thats based on that the total usage a yr wouldnt total up to 40hrs and thats a shame definately wont buy another product made by hoover.they are not built to last and that is ashame a name like hoover should last for a long time but they dont so no i dont recommend any product made by hoover for anyone
