Hamilton Beach  Mixer, Classic Stand, 1 mixer

I bought this on a Black Friday special at Kmart last year thinking it was a great investment. It was-until I went to make Irish Soda bread for St. Pat's day and the motor burned out on me. The thing won't work at all now, and I've had to spend yet more money on buying a new one-one that I hope works for many many years.

Received this as a gift in early 2012. I used it about once a week for simple cookie and dessert baking with my 2 girls. The stand doesn't actually turn the bowl, so that part was useless to me. I ended up using it as a hand mixer. However, about 6 months ago it started making a very loud noise and by December the left beater motor had went out and stopped spinning during any use...even in liquid. This is useless now, after less than a year of use. Luckily my sister paid half the price that is listed, but still...not a very good product and not what it appears to be. Spending the money for a top of the line stand mixer myself now.

Even at a low price point this thing isn't worth the money. I have used it quite a few times and it is frustrating. The beaters don't even come close to the bottom of the bowl and I had to keep stopping it to hand mix the ingredients. The only nice thing about this is that the mixer comes off the stand and it actually works as a hand mixer. Might as well by a cheap hand mixer or buy a better stand mixer.

Doesn't have enough power for the job I purchased it for.

This is a hand mixer atached to a stand bowel only moves by hand. Hand held mixer easier to use.

Mixer is great. The stand is plastic but not flimsy. Should stand up under general use. Looks great - matches other stainless steel items in the kitchen. Has dough hook as an extra.

I bought this mixer on Thanksgiving when it was on sale. If I didn't already throw away the box, I would return it. The beaters are hard to get in, the lift mechanism is clumsy and awkward to use, the bowl just moves back and forth on the stand, the beaters don't reach the bottom or the sides, the motor sounds like it is straining at the lowest speed, the ejector button has to be pushed very hard to get the beaters out, the construction is light and flimsy. Really sorry I bought it.

I was so excited to finally get a stand mixer. I have been wanting one for years. I was so disappointed when I used this one on Christmas Day. I had it on the lowest speed and thought it was going to fly off the counter. I had to constantly scrap the sides and the bottom of the bowl or nothing would have mixed right. What normally takes 15 or 20 minutes to put together (cookie recipe) took me over 1/2 hour. I am very disappointed in this mixer. I do have other Hamilton Beach products and they are great but I am not pleased with this at all.

I made three dishes Christmas ee to take to my daughters xmas day. I was so easy and quick. I have trouble with my left hand and not to have to hold the mixer was just great! Love it. i also got one to give for a gift .

This is the worst mixer I have ever owned. I will be returning this. The beater blades are not high quality. They are weak and flimsy. This might work ok for mixing thin cake batter but no way could it hold up to making fondant or pizza dough. Spend more and get a better quality one.
