Product Description

All sorts of surprises with this smiling cookie jar learning friend! Two different modes teach shapes or numbers. When baby puts shapes in openings, the cookie jar "magically" says the name or number of the shape. Jar senses babys hand and responds with fun songs and sounds. Learning never looked so yummy!

    Simply Adorable September 17, 2010

Honestly, I love this toy more than my kids do!!!  The catchy tune entertains the 1-year old that I nanny; my 2-year old can now fit the shapes in (WITH HELP); my 4-year old now likes looking at the numbers ... not just the shapes.  I love that the sensor will play a song even if you just drop pieces in the top, which is best for young children.  I can simply press the buttons around the outside to prompt my 2-year old to find the "circle," "square," etc.  Most of the numbers are well matched with the shape: star = 5 (5 points), square = 4 (4 corners), triangle = 3 (3 corners), heart = 2 (2 curves?), circle = 1.  I point out the numbers more to my oldest child.

I will point out that a 6-month old baby is not going to be able to do much with it - I think you want to use this toy later.  The cookie jar is a bit heavy, but a slightly older baby will be able to at least lift the jar up and empty/refill the pieces.  I also agree that the button makes it harder for a younger child to place the pieces in the outside.  Overall, fun and DURABLE toy.

Too advance for recommended age. April 19, 2011

My grandson received this for Christmas at age 6 months. It's too advanced for the age, even now at ten months he's just making it sing. The shapes are rather difficult to push through, do to the button that activates the music.

The toy should NOT be left in the playpen/crib with baby. My grandson, just getting to his feet at seven months fell on it and was bruised badly.

The toy is much more appropriate for a one year old+.

my daughter bought this for my granddaughter and she just loves it. When she gets the shape right it talks and she giggles. The shapes are too big to put in their mouth which is great it is toddler proof they can drop it bang it and it still works great! A plus toy

    Multiple ways to learn

Bought this product for my grandchild and am semi-happy with it.  Blocks are a little hard to fit through openings.  Other than that, it attracts alot of attention and has a good entertainment level.

My son just loves this toy. He still plays with it at 18 months. He loves to put the shapes in the holes. He loves to dance to the songs. We even purchased one for both his grandmas.
