This remote does Not Include a Receiver and 12V 'A23' battery, it's ONLY aFAN-35T1 remote.
There are 5 buttons, 3-Speed (High/Medium/Low) and OFF for fan speed control, Light Dimmer for dimming control.
Light Dimmer button just controls the brightness of halogen and incandescent lamps, also compatible with some dimmable LED/CFL lights. Most LED/CFL lights are Not Dimmable, and the Light Dimmer button only control the On/Off in this case.

Easy to Install
Take off the battery cover of the old remote, you will see a series of "DIP" switches(4). Slide the switches in the new remote to match the same pattern as the old remote.
Replace the battery in the new remote and things should work.
How to set the function of learning button:
1: Disconnect the receiver's power cord and connect it again to restart the receiver.
