Great Suction!!!!!!
This is worth for the price, I had my doubts about getting this Eureka Upright Vacuum or if I should do a better investment by getting a Dyson Vacuum, but Dyson is way too expensive. As soon as I got this Eureka vacuum I used and It works Great! No regrets about this purchase!! you don't have to roll up the cord it does it it self, and the best part, my house is Clean because It has Great Suction!!!!

Good but not great
After reading over the reviews I eventually decided on this Eureka model. I am sharing my experience after owning it for a couple of days. Pros's (1) Set up was very easy. It took me about 15 minutes to get everything assembled and to start vacuuming. (2) It is quite heavy. This gives the vacuum a substantial feel that I like but it is also a potential weakness (see cons). (3) Although it is heavier than the vacuums it is replacing (two Kenmore canisters) it does glide smoothly over carpets and wood floors. The wheels seem to be actual rubber as opposed to cheap, hard plastic which may explain how easily it glides. (4) I do not agree that this is extemly noisy. It isn't silent but it is slightly less noisy than my two Kenmore canisters it is replacing. (5) The vacuum does seem to do a good job of picking up dirt, especially the pet hair which you can see spinning in the cannister. (6) It is more than half the cost of a Dyson which, if it works, is a significant plus. (7) Removing the cannister and emptying it out seems pretty straight forwad. I am looking forward to not have to replace paper bags every time. Con's (1) It is heavier and although it glides easily it is still hard to maneuver around, especially compared to a cannister style with a long wand. You do get a bit of a workout pushing it around do to its weight. I found it hard to impossible to get it in to places that I could easily reach with my cannisters. That may just be the difference between the cannister style and an upright. This problem may cause me to return it for a canister style. It is also not something I will be lifting up and down stairs with an frequency do to its weight. (2) Maybe I am just not used to it yet but the power cord always seems to be in the way. Nothing I have tried has helped to prevent it from getting tangled on something. (3) The retractable power cord isn't very retractable. Even the store clerk had a problem getting the cord to rewind properly. You can get it to rewind most of the way but then you have to coax the last two feet or so to retract. Don't under estimate how annoyng this is. The last thing you want after vacuuming for half and hours is to fight to get the cord rewound.

Excellent

Easy to use. No bags and no hassle dumping container. I have dogs, and I was appalled at the hair left behind by my old vacuum that this one got on the first pass. The retracting cord just makes it that much better.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Works great!

I received the vacuum yesterday. It was easy to put together. I put it to the test right away. I never realized how bad my old vacuum was until I seen how good the Suction Seal Pet Bagless worked. I could vacuum everyday.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great vacuum but not without issues

The vacuum works very well, suction is great, picking up pet hair, etc. The low profile allows it to go under the couch an inch or so which is better than most. The MAIN PROBLEM is that the cord winder is weak. It does alright until you are about 6 feet from the end, then it requires a little "help". Our last vacuum would wind up so tight you had to watch out for the whipping action as it went all the way in. Another problem would be with design for holding the hand-held device on the top front. Its a very small magnet which is just "okay". If you hit a wall, chair, couch, etc. the smallest jolt will make it fall. (You will end up storing this in a cabinet somewhere). The "snap in" bottom hose rail is designed to slide down....but the hose is wrapped around pushing up. Today when I got the vac out, the hose had lifted it out of place. I snapped it in again and will see how it goes from here on out. Overall, the vacuum seems to be doing a great job.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Eureka vacuum

rather heavy compared to Oreck models, but motor is powerful and it is extremely easy to use and to empty the container (without getting dirty/dusty yourself)

Best Vacuum I've Ever Owned

This was worth every penny-especially since I got it on sale. I bought it because Good Housekeeping gave it their seal of approval in 2010. Excellent performance! I'm very happy with my purchase.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Satisfied

I bought previously a dirt devil. I was appealed by the economical factor, however, I have high carpet and I have very long hair and it lost its suction power within months. My husband said I cannot spend less than $100 on a vacuum so I went out in search for a replacement. I found this vacuum and so far it has held up great! Great suction power, easy to clean, easy to replace the filter (every 6 months so I bought all the filters in stock - sorry sears), and it was easy to put together. It is a heavy vacuum however, but with power to go through my thick, high carpet and fight with all my hair, it does a great job.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
