    Powerful, no-nonsense Vac. Great for a small apartment. November 09, 2010

    I bought this vac after my daughter bought one for her small apartment.  I keep it in the upstairs master bedroom for quick and in between cleanings.    We have a larger, self propelled vac for over all use, but this one is perfect if you have a small area, bad back, or have pet hair you need to touch up between regular cleanings.

    Easily broken June 14, 2009

    I have had three optimas in the past 2 years. the first one lasted over a year, the second lasted about 4 months, the motor would run but no suction. After jumping through several hoops the manufacturer sent a replacement. we have had the replacement for three months now and it is having simliar issues. I use this every week in a small 2 bedroom house with carpet and bare floors plus we have two cats and a dog.

    Amazing vacuum!This is just what we have been looking for,because we have both carpet and bare floors.Our other vacuum was only good for the carpet and just blew the dirt around on the bare floors.But this vacuum has a nice little switch and dial you can use to go from carpet to bare floors and back again.It even picked up tons of dirt and hair that we didn't know the other vacuum missed.We are absolutely thrilled that we found it and the round handle is a nice unique feature,as well as the adjustable height on the handle.Would highly recommend this wonderful vacuum!

    Per it's advertising, the Eureka 12 Amp upright outperforms the Dyson at about a third of the price. The powerful suction draws deep in to the nap of the carpets in my house and really cleans them. Ease of operation is ever present as is the ability to vacuum deep without clogging. It picks up more dirt than the Dyson. I have told many friends about this unit which is the best value and performance vacuum on the market that I tested.

    I was very surprised when I purchased this vacuum 4 years ago. I didn't expect it to have the power that is does for its size and price. The handle height is adjustable and it's light weight means kids have no excuse when you tell them to vacuum the house. The light weight is also perfect for moving it to different levels of the house. The only complaint that I have is in the quality of the parts. We lost a wheel recently, and while the vacuum stilll works well, it's abit difficult to manuever with a broken wheel. It started falling off a couple eyars ago and finally broke earlier this year. I'd still recommend it for it's price, just be gentlle with it.
