ONE OF MY KNOBS FELL OFF

Well, my 13 year old daughter started to put this together and did a pretty good job (along with my expertise on putting things together), but ran along a couple trials along the way. For one, the thing is made of particle board with a thin laminate attached which proved to be a pain when trying to attach the very thin backboard of "cardboard" that they give you. She put the screws in where they indicate by giving you prepunched holes in the cardboard, and one of the screws split the laminate because the hole was too close to the edge, so we had to pull that one out and try to glue the split down, unsuccessfully. Second, the whole thing is kind of rickety so you have no choice but to attach it to the wall, otherwise you could put it over real easy with one opening of one of the doors. And speaking of the doors....they give you the panels with the hinges already attached, so when attaching he doors to the panels at the hinges, you would think that there would be no problems...well, they drilled the holes in the left door just a tad off from the other door which makes one door higher than the other and there is no adjustment. We tried unscrewing each screw a bit and pushing the door down then rescrewing with no change and redrilling the holes is out because the amount is so small that you would end up running the holes together. Then the doors had a nice size gap between them instead of meeting in the middle. Third, the cams and pins that they give you are crap, they take a bit of coaxing and twisting with a screwdriver to get them to grab ahold of the pins and then your never sure it its correct or not, they can let loose at any minute. So picking the whole thing up once put together can be a bit tricky, your not sure if it will stay together as your transporting it to the bathroom. And whoever decided to put a bottom board tha goes behind the toilet, aught to be shot. That thing would have been very difficult to do if it wasn't for my very limber 13 year old getting down on the bathroom floor, twisting herself into a pretzel to get this thing put together behind the toilet, so we could attach the top to the legs. Then you have to attach it to the wall so it doesn't get pulled forward onto you the first time you open one of the cabinet doors. The scew anchors they give you are trash, just throw them out completely, they are just sleeves and don't anchor anything in, the screws just pull right back out. So just use your own anchors and save yourself the half an hour of aggrivation I had trying to use larger screws or longer screws three times and then even trying (per my daughter) to nail the thing to the wall, (which didn't work either). Oh, also, be careful as you try to peel the round dot letter stickers off (that indicate which part is which) becasue we pulled one off on a shelf and it peeled the very thin painted finish right off the shelf, now it looks kinda crappy. Oh well, I guess you get what you pay for, but I would have prefered to pay a bit less for junk than I did...$50.00 these days is a lot of money to pay for junk.
