    The Bridgeport Storage Bench is attractive and VERY functional! March 27, 2011

    When moving and downsizing recently, I was looking for attractive and creative storage solutions. I found the Bridgeport Storage Bench to be exactly what I was looking for! I have it at the foot of my bed, and am using it to store 2 quilts and my Christmas decorations. It is very nice looking and was very easy to assemble as well.

    It was easy to put together but a little disappointed with the Sauder storage bench.  The backside is unfinished. It would of been nice if Sauder had the backside finished inside and outside and the same with the edges of the sides that face the back of the storage bench. So I put the finished side facing the outside of the storage bench. I also would like wheels on it to move it.  I have it at the foot of my bed for storage. So when you make the bed you have to move it.

    Unfinished back and no wheels

    I understood it wasnt going to be a forever piece of furniture but I've only had it 2 weeks and its falling apart. It was pretty simple to assemble and it looked okay, nice color. I was dissapointed when i realized the back is unfinished. It scratches up very easily and now it's just not staying together. I tried tighting screws but its just not working out. Wish I could return it but  already put the box out to recycling. I wont buy anything like this again.

    Pros:
    Easy to assemble, looks great.

    We bought the dresser and armoire from this collection as well. The bench is larger the it looks. Hold a lot. My daughter loves it. She also uses it as a seat at her table. Was very easy to put together.

    Very happy with this storage bench. looks nice and very solid. The only bad thing is that the back is unfinished, but for the money it is a great value.
