E-Z Up  Jamboree® 10ft x 10ft Canopy

I bought this to cover my bike during day time. It's easy to install, easy to fold back!

I had a canopy before that broke after a dozen uses, so this time I spent the money on a more expensive, heavier model. This time I was trying to be gentle when collapsing it (although you should not have to baby it so much). never-the-less, after about half a dozen uses, one of the trusses broke on this also. The truss broke right where the hole is drilled through it. 

I put in a warranty claim with E-Z Up, and then every few weeks I call them to get an update and they keep saying it is on back order. It has been 2 months (lost most of the summer) and now the latest today is that it is 3 more months (so basically I will get it by the cold season and can re-use it next summer).

They said they under ordered for the amount of warranty orders (which tells me there are a lot of warranty claims).

I reluctantly asked them to replace the whole unit and they said no, they do not stock whole units (only parts) and I will have to wait for the parts. SERIOUSLY?!? 5 months for parts?!? It only takes 1 month to ship it across the ocean.

Bought this canopy and used it twice within a year and it broke down on me. It says on the website that it comes with the 2 year warranty but sears did everything they can to avoid fulfilling the warranty. Needless to say I got the " I will transfer you to someone that can help". Take your business elsewhere.

Found this on the Sears Website for sale at a very good price and put it on lay a way at a local Sears Hardware Store.

Had a same size Canopy by another Manufacturer before this one, this is a nice upgrade for about the same money. This unit has a very sturdy frame and stops on all the frame arms. Those stops prevent you from over extending the frame, very nice feature. This is not a light or small unit, it stands at 49 inches. You have to work to get it in the trunk of a full size car or put it across the back seat of the car. It is a two person job to set this up, one person would have his hands full.

My only complaint is due to how long it to the canopy to arrive at the store after making the last payment. It took almost 11 days for it to arrive and then I had to wait for 20 minutes for them to find it and bring it up the front. Customer Service at Sears is nothing like it used to be.......

We purchased this canopy to support the showing of our foster dogs at adoption events and for this purpose it is working well. We can put up a 4'x4' pen, table crates, and chairs for volunteers and have everyone in the shade. It is fairly easy to put up with 2 people, but better if you have 4; one for each leg. You really need to buy weight bags to support it adequately on most surfaces, especially hard ones.

The rolling storage bag is the real problem with this product. The bottom plate which the wheels and feet attach to is made of very thin and pliable plastic. Think really cheap 3 ring binder. If you aren't real carefull you can easily break it getting the canopy in and out of the bag. After only 2 uses ours is already broken and the rivets holding the wheels on have pulled through and tore the rip stop nylon bag. I have talked to other EZUP owners with the same complaints of poor quality bags ripping after a few uses, wheels breaking, etc.

This is probably why EZUP sells a bag with a steel plate as a "Deluxe" replacement and a totaly hard shell carrier on their website. As an Engineer it makes me disgusted to see a company do so well on the design and engineering in many aspects of a product and then totally fail at another. I plan on building and installing my own replacement made out of plywood or steel.

Despite the bag not meeting my expectations, I would recommend this product. It is a great deal for the sales price of $79.99 we paid.

FOLLOWUP 3/6/2012: We submitted a claim to EZ-UP for the rolling storage bag under the warranty. I agree with other reviewer that this model isn't on their website and it took some work to get the right information. However, EZ-UP sent us a new storage bag at no charge and I didn't have to send the old one back. It wasn't a steel plate model, but the plastic support in the new one was redesigned and hasn't failed yet. Also, if you leave the canopy attached to the frame when you put it in the storage bag, beware of premature wear to the canopy at the corners where it meets the legs because it rubs against the bag. Just make sure to flip and fold the canopy material to the inside as you collapse it to fit in the bag. Then the storage bag just rubs on the plastic leg caps. We are still very pleased with the performance and ease of use.

My husband and I purchased this canopy to shade us during our project of building a deck. It helped us working in the sun without any problems. The whole package is a bit heavy, but It was somewhat easy to set up. Although you need some upper body strength to get that top part to click into place. =) Also, it would be nice if it was in differnt colors, other than a bright Tarp Blue. Otherwise, we ordered it online, got a great deal and have it up, doing it's job.

My wife and I set this canopy up without a problem.  Perfect for our daughter's first birthday party.  We were able to fit two 6' tables under the canopy.  I'm very happy with this purchase.

Took a little bit to do first set up by myself, but once canopy was on, folded back up easily and fit in case without a struggle, which was a surprise. Nice color, looks sturdy.

When they say EZ Up, they mean it!  My wife and I had it set up, on our first try, in about 15 minutes.  The overall construction is very impressive.  No cheap plastic ribs.  They are all metal.   The 10X10 Jamboree (with straight legs) is a replacement for an old 10X10 "Quick Shade" with angled legs.   This gives us a full 100 Sq Feet of cover vs. the 64 Sq Feet with the older one.   Can't wait to go camping!

The downside is the way it's packaged.  It was shipped in the actual packaging (box), with a shipping label stuck on it.  Nothing unusual.  What I didn't like is that the wheels and handle of the roll around bag that's included, are exposed for use.  This would be fine if you bought it in a store and wanted to roll it out to your car, but since I had it shipped, this "convenient" packaging allowed every person in the warehouse, and UPS employee to try it out.  By the time I received it, the wheels were worn.  One had a chunk broken off that jammed the wheel when I tried to roll it.   Now the bag is useless, and EZ Up customer service wants a form filled out, copy of the original receipt, and return the bag at my expense. 

...and by-the-way, the Jamboree is NOT listed on their site.  Love the shelter, but not the company!
