    The knee and elbow pads do to not conform to your child's elbows and knees...they are pretty much flat with no curve. I bought these for my 1.5 year old, but the pads aren't even small enough for my 5 year old. The skates are just dangerous. The wheels are a hard, smooth plastic so she goes flying on her butt as soon as she is off the carpet. The Velcro fasteners that go across the top of her shoes are very large and I had to sew they to make them close over their feet small feet (I don't know a toddler with that wide of an ankle). I wish I kept the box to return them but we are stuck with them now. They have not broke so far, but they have been rarely used. Don't waste your money, go find a product with rubber wheels that is sturdier (like the 2-in-1 adjustable inline skates) and form fitting pads.

    My daughter wanted skates.   We went to the store and saw these.  The packaging we saw was different than the one shown above.  It only stated it was for kids 3-6 years of age.  No where on the packaging did it state shoe size or weight limit.  We got home and the skate adjusted only to her foot size (not shoe size) and she is 42 lbs at age 4.  They should clearly label the box with weight limits and shoe sizes (up to size 9).

    I bought these shoes for my daughter's 4th birthday. She wears a size 11 shoe. These say they will fit up to a size 12 on the packaging. Her shoe won't even fit into the skates fully extended. She was so excited to skate. If you have a child that wears an 11-12 shoe size, I would definitely beware with these skates! I would recommend them if you childs shoe size is smaller and the child weighs less than 42 pounds which is only stated in the paperwork that I could find.
