Clever Solutions for Organizing and Storing Holiday Decorations

One of the best parts of the holiday season is decorating your home with family and friends. In January when it's time to take everything down, it is a much different story. To help you get it done, here are a few clever storage solutions and organizational tips:
- Make it just as much of an event as decorating in late November. Invite family and friends over, play music, serve snacks and get to it!
- The most important thing about storing Christmas lights is making sure you keep them untangled, which means less hassle when setting them up next Christmas. Try wrapping lights around empty wrapping paper tubes.
- A great way to store ornaments is in their original box, with tissue paper separating each ornament. Labeled gift boxes or shoeboxes will work well, too. Then store all ornaments together in one larger box so you don't have to hunt for any next year!
- For a display you want to re-create each year, be sure to wrap and store every item together in one place. Include a picture of the display so you can easily replicate.
