My craftsmen weed eater has worked great for me this year!:-)

I live in a trailer park with with a mid sized yard with some fast growing weeds , being on a small sized budget i bought the $29 dollar craftsman elc weed eater so far this year it has cut all i have hacked at! With it adjustable head and handle it has been easy to use for me or my other half. My daughter assembled it for me when we bought it with no trouble at all. With the bumper guide stopping you from getting to close to fences trees walls helps you not to wast string, String cost money so i love that bumper guard it has saved me some money and time both i can use for fishing!:-) Thank you Kmart... From one vary happy customer!:-)

A Little Dissappointing
This weedwacker was good at first. After the third use, pieces began to break. Replacing the trimmer line can be tricky and time consuming. It is better for a small yard as the extension cord can get tangled with the trimmer very easily. For a large yard, a gas trimmer is best.

Grass Trimmer

This is starting my second season with this trimmer. Excellent trimmer for regular lawn usage. I have had NO problems with it. Some people complain about the "automatic" string release as not working properly. Not to criticize, but apparently they didn't read the instructions that came with the trimmer. It couldn't be simpler. All you do is release the power for 2 seconds and when you start it again, the line automatically advances. So if you are one of those people that start and stop every 10 seconds you are going to have a problem with too much string. Occasionally if you hit something metal, like a fence, the string will cut off too much to automatically advance

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Grass trimmer

The plastic piece the holds the string in broke and I couldn't find a replacement part. So now it doesn't work and it was just out of warranty.

The Craftsman 4 amp 12 inch corded line trimmer is good.

I bought this trimmer when I was looking for an inexpensive tool. What I got was a lot of bang for the buck. It is mostly assembled out of the box, you only need to add the cutting shield. After that you can plug it in and trim and edge with no problems. The swivel head, telescopic and rotating shaft make it very comfortable to use and easy to store.

I have used cordless, gas powered and corded trimmers in the past and I have to say that this one rivals the gas powered units and outshines the other electric ones. Then you think about the enviroment and you see that it has no emmissions and no need to dispose of toxic batteries. So it is a win-win deal.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

12" Cordel Line Trimmer

Bought this product for easy to use and specially for its capacity of maneuverings for border trimming.  It is great for detailing or finishing big jobs.  Not so great if you plan to use it for a big job.  On the other side it works great for what it was created for.  The automatic line feeder is the best of what i have seen before.  After all is a great considering the amount of money you pay for it.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Craftsman 12'' Corded Line Trimmer is Lightweight and powerful

A year ago to buy the electric trimmer crafstman and has always maintained the same powerful performance from the start, has never failed and also is very light and really compared to a gasoline trimmer  for its power, I am fully satisfied with the purchase

I would recommend this product to a friend.

The one I bought in the 1980's was 10 times better!

I had a Craftsman Weedwacker that I bought back in the 1980's and it lasted almost 20 years (after it finally broke, I lived where I didn't need one).

Moving to a new house and needing a new trimmer, I again turned to Craftsman, based on the quality of tools I have depended on for 40 years.  However, this trimmer is a joke!  In a 6' x 4' patch of ground with light to medium weeds, I had to open the spool cover and refeed line that had broken off too short and perhaps I hadn't bumped it well enough.  Ok, I didn't think too much about that because it would happen sometimes with my old one.  However, within that same 24-sq. ft. area, the line failed to feed a second time (and I was bumping it well) and when I took the cover off, I couldn't even find the end of one of the lines as it apparently came from the factory tangled and once the line broke off to the point where it was tangled, it quit feeding again.

I don't like having two spools because (1) the spools are small and don't hold much line and (2) it's a little difficult to feed the lines through both eyelets and keep them in place while putting it back together.  In addition, the edge guide was difficult to open - I had to pry it from both sides with screwdrivers.

I will be returning this trimmer and will not buy another one that has two small spools.  I'm one of those people that say, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."  The old larger single spool worked very well.
