After research, this seemed to be the best fit for our needs. Really impressed with the starting on the first pull. The lighter weight was nice to handle in the yard, enjoyed the deck washout adaptor, etc. Everything just seemed great--then one summer evening, about the 10-12 th time I tried to use the mower, it decided it would not start, not on one pull or 20, So, we took it to the Sears repair shop, since we had also purchased additional warranty. Surprised to learn that the folks in the repair shop said they had experienced a lot of this type problem "because the gas is bad, you have to use higher grade fuel, or add stabilizer to your gas". Well, I had never heard of such in the 50 years I have used power mowers. Left the mower to be repaired and after 2 weeks and many phone calls have now learned my "new" mower is ready to come back home--with a charge attached!! I questioned ANY charge since the mower was about 6 weeks old and was told they had to replace the spark plug and filter "and that is not covered by any warranty".
I will retrieve this mower from the shop and will sell it this weekend at a garage sale--I have had my last Craftsman mower, which is a shame, this one is probably the 8-10th one I have owned with no problems EVER until now. Disappointed in Briggs and Stratton and Sears. My final stop is back to the salesman who sold it to me with all the promises about how great it was!!!
Disappointed in Texas.

Me and my wife enjoyed the easy start feature. The mower worked well on my lot.

If you are a little short on funds and need a reliable mower that will do the job, I would recommend this mower

Well it?s March 3rd and my old reliable Craftsman lawn mower is still stolen. Some toolbox swiped it last fall. The grass is getting a bit shaggy. Another week or so and my neighbors will start talking. So off to Sears I go. I did my internet shopping due diligence and decided on the Craftsman 37037. My criteria: I wanted a mower built or at least assembled in the U S of A. I wanted a Briggs and Stratton engine because these were the ones I learned to take apart and rebuild in high school. I wanted torque and displacement, the more the better. I wanted big back wheels because they look cool. I wanted a push mower because men don?t buy self propelled mowers. The web site picture also sported a blue ?recommended? badge. Two extra points for that. Like most men, I don?t limit my mower to just grass. My old mower would take on anything. Sticks, blackberry vines, rocks, sprinkler heads, dog toys, beer cans, you name it. I hope this shiny new mower is half the mower my old one was.

my previous mower's handle was easy to adjust, it accordioned down after loosening the bolts on it. This one requires I take bolt out, fold down handle, then replace bolt. I have had a half dozen Craftman machines in my 30+ yeas of heavy central Florida mowing, my last one lasted all of 3 and a half years, due to gasohol screwing up carb, I believe. I bought this one hoping engine maker have figured out how to cope with this kind of fuel ...

I haven't even used it yet or pulled it out of the box for that matter. I am really disappointed that the deck is metal but the assemblies (for lack of a better term) which house the wheels and their adjustments are plastic. I can't believe none of the reviews mentioned this as a concern. I would have been better off just getting a new engine for my shot out all steel old craftsmen mower.

So far so good but the mowing season has come to an end after only using it once. I may use it to mulch/bag some leaves but then it's going to sit for a few months until the spring. I hope I don't have a problem after I used the mower only a few times and then it sits for a few months. That's when the real test begins so I'm hoping for the best.

Very satisfide with this mower. Light weight but tough on the thick grass.

Starts right up. Its easy to push and has good maneuverability. You can mow quickly and it doesn't bog down. The height adjustment on the wheels is very easy to move, and only requires moving the lever on one side. The mulching feature is great. I just mowed a yard full of leaves and it didn't bog down at all.

I purchased this model two months ago, I finally had to retire my 13 year old Sears push mower. The old one I may have changed the sparkplug outside of the blade. Other than that I just put gas in it and it started within 2 pulls everytime for years. The new mower is great the idle self adjust, I love the one lever adjustment for the wheels. Easy to push and the bagger is easily removalble and easy to reinstall. I recommend this mower for sure! Hope to get 15 years out of this one!
