Char-Broil  Universal Electric Rotisserie*

Sorry I did not read review on this rotissiere kit. It does not fit readily to grill, had to re-adjust adapters and find screws and nuts to make fit. I would not recommend this rotissiere kit, time enough putting grill together, this only adds to frustration.

I received this unit that I was advised on your chat website would be the correct Rotisserie for my Grill. (140.15225). I had to drill four holes in the firebox, as the spacing on the holes (slots) in supplied Stainless brackets did not match up with the holes in the firebox for any possible alignment. I have not yet cooked with it but it does seem to operate correctly. I did assume that since it was the recommended one this would not be necessay.

So it shoud not be advertised in conjunction with that product. But it is really easy to drill two new holes to fit the bracket by the handle, the other bracket by the motor fits on the pre-drilled holes so it isn't really a problem.

This is a good universal rotisserie unit. Nothing spectacular about it but it will get the job done with ease. I grilled two chickens at once on this unit with ease and they both cooked perfectly.

The brackets for my grill (straight sides) are too flexible and it is very easy for the rod to pop out of the motor while in use. I pull on the handle and then tighten it and relase to try to put pressure on the rod. The brackets for the other configuration (angled sides) look more rigid.

I purchased the Kenmore 5-Burner Gas Grill with Ceramic Searing and Rotisserie Burners BECAUSE of the rotisserie option, but after putting it together (or trying to), I found that the rotisserie (THAT Sears.com suggested as an optional purchase for this grill) was about an inch too short. I called Sears and they were no help at all. They suggested I called Char-Broil, but it seems to me that Sears should know if it fits the grill that they are selling, especially since they are trying to sell this item along with it. I am still trying to find a rotisserie that works for this grill. If it wasn't already put together I would return the grill along with the rotisserie.

Used it this weekend works great had to thighten screws once had them to loose made a great chicken

The Universal Char-Broil Rotisserie does not fit the Kenmore 4-Burner Split Lid Gas Grill with Side Burner. The holes in the grill do not match up with the holes in the rotisserie brackets. You will need to drill holes in the bracket or the grill to get the bracket mounted.

Had to wait for the rod to arrive because they sent it the first time with no rod, but I have it now and it works like a charm.

We do a lot of outdoor cooking, and we wanted a good and dependable device that would allow us to prepare at least two rotisserie chickens slowly at the same time. This device allowed the chicken to cook evenly, which allowed the skin to cook to a golden brown. I was extra pleased because the slow turn allowed the skin to become crispy, which my family loved. The instructions were easy to understand which helped make assembly easy. The item was priced fairly, and I was also allowed to use my award points which was great. I like the fact that I have the option to purchase additional parts such as fork so we can add a third chicken when cooking for a large crowd. My family was impressed as to how evenly it allowed the chicken to cook. I must add that I love the design of the device because it is safe to handle. The design allowed me to secure the chicken to the rod, lay it across the sink and season the chicken without loosing the seasoning on the cutting board. The slow turn of the device also allowed me to add additional seasoning if desired, which resulted in a very appetizing meal. I would have liked for the rack to have come with four forks instead of two. This would allow me to prepare two types of flavors without having the two chickens to touch. Overall, this turned out to be a very rewarding purchase. I even bragged to my co-workers about how well the device worked.
