I bought two of these. One for my 5 year old daughter who is sometimes to lazy to get up and go to the bathroom and she has an occasional accident and 1 for my 2 year old who is potty training. We haven't had a problem with my five year thank goodness but we have had many accidents with my 2 year old and nothing has gotten on the mattress. This product is waterproof and silent there is no (plastic) sound. I have had them for about 2 months now and have also washed them however i would not suggest drying in the dryer. They come out of the washer almost dry and you only have to air dry for about an hour.

Does not fit well
My husband has a problem with night-sweats, so I bought this to protect our expensive mattress. We bought the queen size. Unless you have a very thick mattress (ours is probably about 12"), this is going to be too big. It does not have any elastic around the bottom, so there is really nothing to keep it in place on the mattress. After a few sleeps, it slides around and bunches up, taking the fitted sheet with it. I find myself having to pull down the fitted sheet and mattress cover every night before bed from where it has almost completely come off the bed the night before. It serves it's purpose as a waterproof cover perfectly well, but it's very annoying having to readjust it and the sheet every single night.

Does not fit well
