Directions: Easy to Use (See user's guide for detailed instructions. It is normal for carbon dust to appear in your first two pitchers. Discard this water or use it to water plants). Wash your hands before unwrapping the filter. 1. Soak new filter. 2. Insert filter into reservoir. 3. Add cold tap water. 4. Replace filter every 40 gallons or two months.     I like my Brita Pitcher but sometimes the water just doesn't taste right. I'm not sure if the change filter indicator is more based on time vs. usage but it seems if I have to change it sooner than it tells me too. It does a very good job other than the mystery of when to change the filter

    I have this product which is great to have because I don't like the taste of tap water. It takes out the chlorine taste my water has. It is also wonderful because I can have cold water all the time which helps me to slow down on my pop intake.

    I don't really care much for our water around here but with this filtering it, I love it. I like how easy and convienient it is and that I always have cold water on hand. I use it for my whole family and we all drink a lot more water now. I would recommend this to other's who don't like the taste of their tap water.
