    cheap,nicely packaged,extra pieces,inexpensive

    We actually bought this kit just to get one cable, since we bought my step-daughter a "big-girl" bike that didn't have hand brakes and wanted to re-use the hand brake from her "little-kid" bike.  This kit had everything we needed - including the extra end caps and ferrules (cable housing ends) to shorten the cable so it would fit on a kid's bike.  Probably not the best quality cables, but for $5.99 you really can't complain.  This is a great kit for getting an old rusty bike back into working shape.  The only thing is that I can say from experience changing out the gear cables can be a frustrating process if you've never adjusted a derailleur before, and there aren't great directions included with the kit, but if you're relatively handy and have some patience, it will be a rewarding experience to get a nice, working bike in the end!

    i recently decided to fix a bike that had been sitting around the house for several years now. the cables had rusted, and the housing for them were cracked at the ends. this product has everything that i needed to replace all of my bicycle cabling. the cables are extra long so that you have room to work with the length, depending on each different bicycle. i would definitely buy this product again if the cables ever needs to be replaced again. one note is to make sure that you have all the tools you need before you start to save time and hassle.
