Ball  Canning Kit with 21 Quart Waterbath Canner And Accessories

While the canning kit has everything you need in one spot, I did have a bit of an issue with the online store pickup process. I had a good experience shopping and the pickup was easy but when I got the kit home, I noticed that the pot and porcelain lid had a nice ding in them. I was pretty disappointed in that. The young man that picked out my items, just grabbed from the shelf and did not pay attention to the dent and I did not inspect this before I left. I have yet to use this item, but will eventually. The point is that it was to replace a pot that I had that was already pretty dinged up. Its got everything I need and is a good brand and price, but I recommend checking your item before leaving the store. This will rust quickly where its ding and dented other than that all was a good experience, but because of that, I might sugget that should have went to the clearance rack.

<span>The first time I used this kit, the rack rusted at the cross members.  The Utensil Kit is $15, so the pot and rack are $40 of the $55 pricey tag.  I have a 25 year old Ball rack made of galvanized steel, in perfect condition.  I really just needed the pot (not sold separately) because that did NOT last 25 years.  If the quality of the new rack is any indication of the quality of the new pot, I'm sure that it isn't destined for a long life either.  Please note: The manufacturer has agreed to refund the purchase price.  Customer Service will tell you that steel wool will remove the rust and it's not harmful to food. You can tell them that steel wool removes more material causing more corrosion and eventual failure.  The quality should be built in, not added on after.  </span>

In previous years I had avoided canning produce as I was afraid it would be too challenging for me. I finally decided that I was up to the challenge and visited Kmart for the needed supplies. There I found the Ball canner and supplies. I have used it now so many times I can't count. The canner is well made and so easy to use.

Love the product but wish that all the parts were made in the USA.

I was able to start canning ounce I unpacked it. I loved that everything I needed was right there. I love the funnels. The rack makes dropping jar in bath safe and easy. Great for beginners and expert canners.

I've been canning pickles in a pot that's not quite big enough, using tongs that weren't meant for lifting jars, always worrying that I was going to drop a jar and hurt myself. Needless to say, I was thrilled when I opened this present Christmas morning. I know I will now venture beyond pickling cucumbers and try to make some homemade jams and salsas too!

Made home canning very easy. No need for fancy equipment, this comes with everything you need. This was my 1st time canning, so I was pretty nervous about it. Purchased this, & the Ball Blue Book, & was able to can vegetables, & make several different kinds of jam successfully on my 1st try. I simply followed the guide lines, & recipes in the Ball Blue Book (purchased separately also from Kmart) with wonderful results. Expect several years of use from both products. If you'd like to try canning, this, some jars, & the book are all you'll need. A terrific investment!
