Avent  Bottles, Natural Feeding, 11 oz/330 ml, Advanced, 2 bottles

I first recieved this type of bottle as a sample, and i though since i have it I might as well try it as I weaned my youngest from the breast. He took to the bottle, and was able to drink out of it as he held it comfortably. Also it can be used with handles which means that it can be used a lot longer.

?"I don't understand what people are complaining about regarding leakage. I have had no problems with leakage.. When putting the nipple in the cap, i give it a little tug to be sure it is set properly, and put the cap on.. sure, once in a while the cap won't seat properly, but you can SEE this, and merely back out the cap by unscrewing until you hear it snap into the proper groove, and tighten again.. I had read that you can't screw too tight or it affects the flow (won't flow enough.) No problem there either. I am still breastfeeding my 3 month old, and giving bottle after her morning nap, to begin to prepare her for when I go back to work in one month. Hubby works lots & can't regularly bottle feed our little one, so I am doing so.. not the optimal choice but its working out.. she did some crying at first, but after 8 days has begun to get her groove and settles in nicely now.. I did find (at 2 months old) that she had to work too hard with the stage 1/newborn nipple, so i switched to the stage 2/3month old nipple, and is working well. I love the wide opening of the bottles for easy cleaning.. using breast milk but would be easy for formula mixing too. Bottles are chemical free tinted ones, so no worries there. Not putting in dishwasher but good to know i could if i wanted. So, not sure what the gripe is all about, I am having good luck so far and have NEVER had a leaking mishap.

These bottles are great. They have worked so well for my daughter who had awful colick as a baby, She loves the nipples and really seems to enjoy all the avent products. I have tried other bottles and these are much easier to clean than Dr Browns

I used the old Avent bottles with my first child and never had any problems with leaks, but they were not BPA free.  Since they were not BPA free, I hand washed all of the parts and never heated the bottles.  I have tried the Avent Classic bottles since then because they are BPA free, but I had a horrible experience with the Avent Classic bottles leaking from the ring that is placed between the bottle and the nipple with a cap.  The Avent Advanced bottles are BPA free so you can boil them, place them in the dishwasher/sterilizer, and use them for years without the worry of BPA.  The Avent Advanced bottle does NOT have this ring and does NOT leak when the nipple is properly installed and tightened on bottle.  I absolutely love the Avent Advanced bottles.  I own them in 4oz, 9oz, and 11oz, and have never had any problems with leaks.  Plus, they are vented so the nipple doesn't keep collapsing while an infant is trying to feed.  I breast fed my children and used a Medela breast pump, but the Medela bottles aren't vented, so the nipples always collaped.  I would have to take the bottle away and unscrew the cap to fix it.  After a couple of days of this we decided to store in the Medela bottles/milk storage containers and fed with the Avent bottles when I wasn't available to breast feed.  Avent bottles have multiple nipple sizes and a feeder nipple for rice, barley, or oatmeal.  Plus, breast milk can be stored in the bottles.  Training spouts and handles can be bought to transform bottles into toddler cups!  These bottles are excellent bottles that are built to last and make life easier.

hi i have 3 children and all 3 used this brand. it was the only one that did not cause my children to get upset stomachs. really good bottle.
