Allergen Pillow Covers
Both the pillow & mattress covers fit loosely enough that it is not a struggle to put them on.
They are a much less expensive alternative to replacing pillows and will keep both old and new ones clean.
The covers are washable and waterproof -- especially good in case of an accidental spill.
They have a soft cloth feel, so are comfortable in hot weather, unlike the old plastic covers. Plus they do not make noise with every move you make, like plastic does.

I bought 4 of them & they are cheaply made & very flimsy. The 1st wash & dry made them shrink. I would not recommend. They feel like cheesecloth. Barely stronger than a paper towel.

Helps cut down on allergens that may find a home in your pillows. Helps you breathe easier by preventing allergens from gaining a home in your pillows. My allergy specialist recommmended Aller Ease products because of their reputation.

crunchy pillow protectors
The only problem with the pillow protectors is that they make a lot of noise. They crunch when you move the pillow. I have not washed them yet, so the new crunch may go away. Otherwise, they're good to protect the pillow.
