Aller-Ease may ease allergies, but it's not fun to sleep on.
We bought this mattress cover because it was both waterproof and meant to help with allergies. We have three cats that sleep on the bed, and I hoped it would help keep their dander out of the bed. Unfortunately, because it's waterproof, the material crinkles, almost like paper, when you roll around on it. It's pretty loud, and also made our pillow-top matress not feel like a pillow-top at all. We've gone back to a plain cotton mattress pad, and just wash it frequently to deal with the cat fur issue. While this may be a good cover as far as allergies, it will make you feel like you're sleeping on one of those vinyl beds at summercamp. Not fun.
